Gavin is a junior in the Douglas County School District and this is his third year on the Colorado Gifted and Talented Student Board! He is constantly listening to music or playing an instrument, watching the Nuggets or Broncos, or finding a new show or movie to binge. He is so excited to continue to work with the student board and improve the gifted student experience. 

Bora Ayhan

Senior

Littleton Public Schools

Bora is a goal-oriented student seeking to incorporate opportunities within Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) into Colorado’s K-12 programs. He believes in combining theory and hands-on experience to achieve streamlined learning within schools throughout the state. Bora is a passionate leader in various engineering-related initiatives at his school within the Littleton Public Schools District, which are experiences he draws on as he serves on the Colorado Gifted and Talented Student Board.

Sarah Brown

Junior

Lewis-Palmer School District

Sarah is currently a junior attending Lewis-Palmer High School. She serves as a captain on the women’s wrestling team and is committed to advocating for other students through her position on student council as Junior Class Treasurer. She is also an active member of NHS and dedicates her time to making sure others feel heard and noticed. She wants to encourage GT students to pursue their goals with help from the GT program. Her goal in life is to make others smile and make a difference.

Sunshine Christopher

Freshman

Steamboat Springs School District

Sunshine is a proud resident of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and is constantly motivated to advocate and excel students in gifted education. She wants to bring together everyone to give gifted students the chance to speak for themselves. Sunshine loves to coach mountain biking and alpine skiing as well as ski race. She is in multiple clubs- writing for her school newspaper, and her local newspaper, FBLA, her schools “Sailor Senate”, and Steamboat Springs High School Hope Squad, focusing on peer to peer suicide pervention. Sunshine believes that through educating others and striving to understand everyone's needs, anyone can make a change, especially gifted students. She seeks to create an open space, so students can speak up and advocate for what they need.

Arhant Dholam

Sophomore

St. Vrain Valley School District 

Arhant is a sophomore at Erie High School who is deeply passionate about learning, community involvement, and advocating for the GT community across Colorado. He has a strong passion for astronomy, exploring the outdoors, reading, volunteering, and playing tennis. He strives to build a more inclusive and supportive GT community that empowers future generations to pursue their dreams, make a positive impact, and turn meaningful ideas into reality.

Beatrice Dobbelstein

Sophomore

Littleton Public Schools

Beatrice is a dedicated student leader at Heritage High School who strives to make a positive impact within the GT community. She is a strong advocate for equality, diversity, and opportunity for all Colorado students. Outside of student government, track, and volunteering, she spends her free time with her family and friends and plays the piano. She believes that getting involved is one of the most powerful ways to be an advocate for GT students.

Wensen Fang

Freshman

Boulder Valley School District

Wensen is a dedicated and persistent advocate for Colorado GT rights. As a consistent delegate of Model United Nations, a youth coach for Ultimate Frisbee, a Science Fair competitor, and a committed steward for Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks, Wensen uses transparent communication and creativity to support and maintain the importance of a unified GT system. He highlights that any system is not truly beneficial if it does not recognize the aptitude of all students and actively seeks to support them. 

Anna Feduruk

Sophomore

Colorado Springs School District 11

Anna is a high school sophomore in Colorado Springs School District Eleven, who is a passionate advocate for civic engagement and youth leadership. She competes in tennis, swimming, cross country, and speech and debate, and loves to travel and read. Anna works on youth engagement for the League of Women Voters, and she is dedicated to improving education for Gifted students across Colorado.

Emerson Fischer

Cherry Creek School District

Emersen is a junior at Grandview High School, and she can’t wait for her third year doing advocacy work and making legislative change within CGTSB. She’s passionate about education, politics, advocacy, and cherry-scented candles. When she’s not spinning flags, giving a speech, or writing for Grandview’s newspaper and literary magazine, you can find her out and about with her friends or family. She believes that education is a catalyst for positive change, and hopes to spend her life advocating for those who can’t advocate for themselves. 

Gabriela Fox

Denver Public Schools

Gabriela is a hardworking student, athlete, and community member. When she is not catching up on tv shows or crocheting, she participates in National Honor Society, Speech and Debate, AP and IB courses, volunteering, mentoring, volleyball, swimming, and tennis. She most enjoys attending GT conferences and presenting on ways to improve the education system and positively influence her peers. 

Srinidhi Gorla

Junior

St. Vrain Valley School District

Srinidhi is a passionate, active listener who is incredibly community-oriented and values all cultures. She hopes to continue bringing light and assisting overlooked areas and situations worldwide. She is an optimistic problem-solving leader looking forward to bringing perspective and spreading change to the students, teachers, and GT community. She loves yoga, dance, and skiing and tries to incorporate these aspects into her everyday life.

Elle Gustin

Elle is a dedicated student involved in many clubs and sports at Lewis Palmer High School. A few of her many interests include playing piano and volunteering within her community. She is incredibly excited to improve GT education across Colorado.

Will Guttormsen

Lewis Palmer School District

Will Guttormsen is a junior at Palmer Ridge High School, active in various clubs and athletics. Outside of school, you might find him skiing at Breckenridge, his favorite resort, where he works part-time as a skiing instructor.

Jennifer Ha

Senior

Cherry Creek School District

Jennifer has an extensive passion for social and political advocacy. She is committed to working towards true equity on all fronts, education included. Through involvement with social justice orgs, local volunteering, and leadership positions in groups like Rho Kappa and JNHS, she strives for effective changes that serve all historically overlooked populations. Outside of the political space, she enjoys reading, absurdly long video essays, and music.

Angela Hao

Poudre School District

Angela is a determined advocate for gifted education, having been in the GT program since 4th grade herself. She is passionate about making a positive impact in the community- whether that is from volunteering and working at the local hospital to planning TED Talk events each spring. Using this experience, Angela hopes to apply it to advocating for GT students across Colorado.

Grace Jackson

Grace is an ambitious and clever person that strives to make the education system more equitable. To gain experience in advocacy, she works for the county health department as a Youth Advisor and for her town’s government as a Student Intern. In her spare time, she immerses herself in various clubs and activities, including soccer and orchestra.

Vannie (Evangeline) Jahn, is currently a junior at North High School in Denver, Colorado. Passionate and hardworking, she is an avid participant in a multitude of clubs and communities including student council, mock trial, soccer, and so much more! A dedicated student, she strives to be a positive community member, and believes advocating for GT students can have a beneficial impact for all.

Vyom is a passionate advocate for student growth and opportunity. Dedicated to helping others reach their full potential, he founded a non-profit organization to motivate and support other students in exploring STEM fields. Guided by a strong mission to serve and uplift others, Vyom believes that mentorship and collaboration can create lasting change. He strives to inspire confidence, curiosity, and leadership in every student he works with. He believes that learning is a shared journey—one where mistakes become lessons, and every challenge opens the door to new opportunities.

Sylvia Kehm

Sylvia is a junior at North High School and a leader of Mock Trial, Policy Debate, and Student Government. A varsity track athlete and co-founder of Elevate Initiative, she is passionate about supporting marginalized communities through service and advocacy. As a bilingual and bicultural student, Sylvia strives to bridge linguistic gaps and promote greater diversity within the gifted and talented community.

Bella Mascarelli

Bella Mascarelli is a Junior at Arapahoe High School that strives to be an advocate for student voices and creativity in education. She hopes to make an impact through the Gifted and Talented board to help others discover their passions and strengths. She is involved in leadership and academic opportunities both within her school and outside of it, and in her free time she loves to spend time with friends and family and enjoy the outdoors. Her goal is to build an inclusive space where all students feel supported and inspired to reach their full potential.

Tvarita Mathur

Tvarita is a passionate leader serving on the Boulder Valley School District GT Youth Council, where she works to advocate for and empower gifted students throughout the district. With a strong interest in STEM, she is actively involved in Science Olympiad and F1 Club, channels through which she explores her curiosity and problem-solving skills. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music. She believes that every gifted student deserves access to opportunities that challenge and inspire them, and she is committed to fostering a supportive community where all GT students can thrive.

Aashvi Mehta

Aashvi is currently a junior at Mountain Vista High School. She is involved in multiple clubs, including TSA, HOSA, and Speech and Debate, where she enjoys competing and spending time with her friends. She also volunteers weekly at Sky Ridge Medical Center, where she is able to support hospital patients and staff. Aashvi is passionate about supporting and empowering students to reach their full potential. She believes in helping every student achieve their goals and strives to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels they can learn, grow, and succeed.

Magnus Miller

Magnus Miller is a senior at Heritage High School in the Littleton Public Schools district, where he is heavily involved in student government, a tennis captain, and a basketball player. Magnus is passionate about challenging himself, whether that be through a rigorous courseload, weight training, or anything that gets him outside of his comfort zone. He loves to be around others, and wants to be able to make a positive difference in the lives of those that he loves. He hopes to end each day knowing that he made a meaningful impact in his community.

Romeo Moran

Romeo Moran is a junior at Longmont High School in Longmont, Colorado. She is a passionate advocate for change in the Gifted and Talented community. Within school she enjoys playing music with multiple different bands, working with her unified bowling and basketball teams, and tutoring other students. She is a strong believer in the power of opportunity, and is constantly striving to increase outreach across the Gifted and Talented community.

Keegan Mulloy

Keegan Mulloy is a junior at Palmer Ridge High School in Monument Colorado. He is very active, and he spends his time volunteering, playing basketball and pickleball, and leading school clubs. He is pursuing his private pilot’s license, and he loves anything related to aviation, space, and math.

Anabelle Pettinger

Anabelle Pettinger is a freshman at Vilas Undivided High School who strives to provide a strong voice for rural students across Colorado. She is actively involved in a variety of leadership and academic activities within her school, community, and state, including Vilas Student Council, Knowledge Bowl, FBLA, Vilas Leadership Team, New York Parliamentary Debate, Colorado Youth Advisory Council, 4-H, and athletics. Through these experiences, Anabelle advocates for the youth of Colorado and believes that every student deserves a voice in pursuing empowerment and equitable opportunities—no matter their school’s size or location. Her goal is to bring that voice to the Colorado Gifted and Talented Student Board to ensure that rural students are heard, valued, and accurately represented.

Ava Palmer

Ava is a driven and committed student dedicated to making a positive impact in her community. She channels her passion for leadership into founding clubs, forging GT programs, and taking on leadership roles in athletics. In her free time, Ava loves listening to music, being around animals, playing sports, and weightlifting. She believes everyone deserves a strong voice and works to be an advocate for the GT community.

Kincaid Perdue

Garfield Re-2 School District

Kincaid Perdue is a junior attending Rifle High School, in the Garfield re-2 school district. He’s been involved in various activities that push him to be his best self, like the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and being on a Varsity Golf team. Relating to the GT Program, he’s been in the program since he was in 2nd grade, and has become an advocate towards the expansion of GT. He believes that GT is vital in helping students to reach their goals. He’s excited to play a role in the development of GT, and bettering the futures of Colorado’s youth.
