At the 2024 Colorado Association of School Boards Fall Conference, the Colorado Gifted and Talented Student Board presented "Bridging Gaps: Refining Colorado's GT Programs for Equitable Excellence." We explored the shortcomings of gifted identification, educator awareness, and resource allocation before providing robust solutions to these inequities.
At the 2024 Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented Conference, the Colorado Gifted and Talented Student Board presented "Igniting Purpose and Passion: Empowering Gifted Students Beyond Academics." We investigated the significance of passion projects in unlocking the potential of every gifted student in addition to fixes for the inherent flaws of GT identification.
In 2025, the Colorado Gifted and Talented Student Board presented to the Exceptional Student Services Unit. We explored the isolation of GT students and how they can learn beyond school budgets.
In 2024, the Colorado Gifted and Talented Student Board presented "R&I: Resouces and Impact of CGTSB" for the GT educators of the St. Vrain Valley School District. We provided an overview of the board and our favorite resources as GT students.
In 2024-25, the Colorado Gifted and Talented Student Board began political work in the Colorado General Assembly! Seeking to apply their perspectives and GT experiences, the Colorado Gifted and Talented Student Board Legislative Cohort sought to implement statewide reforms to create a more equitable GT program.
