To support them, the board will provide public testimony in favor of the bills; encourage Senators and Representatives to vote in favor of the bills; and organize public outreach in favor of the bills.
This bill provides a tax credit to full-time licensed public school educators to offset the cost of educational supplies purchased by the teacher with their own money.
Gifted and Talented students often require additional supplies due to their unique needs, with teachers footing the bill. HB25-1037 will provide Gifted and Talented students with the specialized educational materials they need in the classroom without burdening teachers' checkbooks.
Current Status: In the House Appropriations Committee
This bill will create a publicly accessible website that shall house information on the transferability of college credits (AP, IB, Dual/Concurrent Enrollment, etc.) to the state's public institutions of higher education.
Gifted and Talented Students regularly pursue college-level coursework throughout their high school career. HB25-1038 will provide these students with information on where their hard-earned college credits will transfer, greatly reducing the stress and financial strain inflicted on them during their college experience.
